Behind the scenes
My story is probably different from anyone else. When I was born, I stopped breathing and was placed in an incubator. As I was growing up, I discovered that I was legally blind in my left eye and deaf in my left ear. When I started school, I discovered I had learning disabilities. The area I struggled in most was math. Because of my disabilities, most teachers thought I would not graduate from high school, let alone college.
